Artist Bio
Robert Angeloch (1922–2011) was an American painter, printmaker, and educator closely associated with the Woodstock art community. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he studied at the Art Students League of New York, the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, and privately with Fiske Boyd. After settling in Woodstock in the late 1940s, he co‑founded the Woodstock School of Art in 1968 and taught there for decades. His work—primarily landscapes—was exhibited widely, including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Academy of Design. Angeloch died in 2011, leaving a lasting legacy as both an artist and influential teacher
